Since our charter in 1992, the Germantown American Legion Post 250 has been welcoming Veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals embodied in our preamble below.

The next membership meeting of Post 250 will be at 7:00 p.m. April 6, 2010 in the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike. Because April 6 is National Tartan Day our guest speaker will be a representative from the Scottish American Military Society. He will be discussing the role of Scottish Americans in the Revolutionary War.
Americans of Scottish descent have played a vibrant and influential role in the development of the United States. From the framers of the Declaration of Independence to the first man on the moon, Scottish-Americans have contributed mightily to the fields of the arts, science, politics, law, and more. Today, over eleven million Americans claim Scottish and Scotch-Irish roots -- making them the eighth largest ethnic group in the United States. These are the people and accomplishments that are honored on National Tartan Day, April 6th.
